I’m nervous to use natural products, Why are the methods of use different than commercial products?

Natural products are made from various parts of plants such as flowers, roots, leaves, bark, and berries, as well as other natural ingredients like oats, clays, and oils. They offer unique textures, colors, and sensations that may be different from commercial products. Unlike commercial products, natural products do not contain chemicals that create a foamy lather or a stripped/tight feeling on the skin. Instead, natural products are simple, contain no harmful chemicals, and take the same amount of time to use. They will leave your skin looking and feeling healthier, improving your skin tone, texture, and overall skin health.

How do your subscription products work?

This is the perfect way to stay consistent with your routine for optimal skin health! All subscriptions ship out on a quarterly basis, you will receive your subscription products every three months on the same day they were ordered. You pay for a one time only shipping fee of $9 with the first subscription order, all recurring subscription orders will ship for free. The credit card you file on record with your original order will be the CC for all existing subscriptions. You may cancel or stop your subscription at any time. Be sure to double check shipping address too, all orders will ship to the address you have on file.

Do you offer a routine for different skin types?

We make it simple! Yes we offer specific routines for each skin type - head over to our Ritual Sets to find the right Skin Set for you. Cultivated specifically for each skin type, our Ritual Sets make it easy for you to begin your Gatherwise journey.

I’m new to natural skincare, Do your face washes lather?

Nope. Our face washes use natural ingredients to draw out impurities and cleanse the skin through oil cleansing, or cleansing scrubs. Our cleansers never strip the surface of its natural “healthy” microbiome, leaving your skin to regulate and harmonize exactly what your skin is supposed to.

Why do you recommend an Oil Cleanser for Oily skin? How can that be?

We have been taught the wrong information about oils. We were taught to never put oil on our face as it will cause breakouts and clogged pores - Well, I’m here to tell you that’s just not true. The real answer is it depends on the oils and the application when using an oil on oily skin. Our Oil Cleanser is formulated for oily skin to draw out impurities using natural oils heavily infused with plants to limit breakouts and regulate your own natural oil production. The Oil Cleanser leaves your microbiome balanced, causing less breakouts, less bacteria, and an even skin tone.

I have oily skin, can I still use oils on my face?

Yes! Not all oils are the same though. Our knowledge around each ingredient is what sets Gatherwise apart from other brands. Our products are formulated to work with your skin and benefit you as much as possible to age gracefully. Our founder is highly knowledgeable in each ingredient, using oils that work with the delicate skin on our faces. We avoid all other oils that can cause build up, breakouts, clogged pores, irritations, and much more. Our oils are cold pressed, organic, and pure. We focus on oils that create harmony with your own skin, oils that mimic our own sebum to assure balance and effectiveness. 

Why is the shelf life only 1-2 years?

Gatherwise products are truly farm-to-face, made in small batches by hand. We provide highly effective, luxurious skincare made from plants. We do not use preservatives, synthetics, dyes, or any harsh chemicals of any kind. Using only natural ingredients means our products are meant to be used! We recommend using our products within 6-24 months depending on the product. Check your batch and expiration stickers on each product to be sure you’re on the safe side.

Do natural/plant based products actually get results?

On a Gatherwise routine you’ll see incredible results in the overall health and wellness of your skin, creating a beautiful glow and an abundantly healthy microbiome.  You will see incredible results but it’ll be over time and usage. Our results are based on plants and plants alone, meaning they are absorbed into your skin as your skin needs them. With truly plant based skincare your skin will regulate what it needs and what it doesn’t from the Active Plants, never being forced into the skin and allowing your individual skin to soak in what it truly needs to be its healthiest self. 

Should I be using a mask?

Yes, we strongly recommend masking 1-2x a week. Our masks are formulated to target specific skin concerns - irritants, inflammation, breakouts, dullness, dryness, and much more. By using a mask 1-2x a week you’ll begin to see a stronger skin barrier, renewed cells on the surface, and limited skin concerns.
Try Multi-masking! Take at least two or all three of our masks to customize your own home treatment for your specific skin needs. This means you can use the Garden mask around your eye area, the Honey Mask on your forehead, and the Restorative Mask on your jaw line, cheeks, and t-zone. This method creates a custom, harmonizing treatment that focuses on the individual needs of your skin.

I’m in my 60’s and wanting real results, will I see a difference in my skin?

Yes, absolutely! Our products offer a slow and steady approach to aging gracefully. Everyday skincare with lifelong results. I’ve used other “natural skincare” before and my skin broke out. What makes Gatherwise different?

Are your “Active Plants’ actually going to work? Will they show results?

Yes, all our products are formulated to work with you and your skin. Our Active Plants bring in the most essential ingredients to each specific formulation. Using plants in our products provides a more gentle and subtle result because our products are made from plants that work with your body, not forcing ingredients to “work” but to absorb into your skin allowing your body to take and disregard what it needs from the plants. So if your skin is thirsty for Fatty Omegas, it will quickly absorb them when using our richer products.

I currently use a high Vitamin C Serum, will I get the same results from your Serums?

Same but different. On a Gatherwise routine you’ll see incredible results in the overall health and wellness of your skin, creating a beautiful glow and incredibly healthy microbiome.  You will see results but it’ll be over time and usage. Our results are based on plants and plants alone, meaning they are adsorbed into your skin as your skin needs them. If your skin is craving Vitamin C then it will adsorb all the plant based Vitamin C in products like our Calm and Clear Serum…taking what it needs for the best results for your individual skin type. 

Can I use your oils in my hair or on my scalp?

Yes! Our oils and masks offer incredible healing benefits for your hair and scalp. Use any of our oils on the tips of your hair to maintain the overall health of your hair. Or try our oils directly on your scalp for a nighttime treatment to nourish and soothe a dry, irritated scalp, and encourage hair growth.
Scalp Treatment: The Restorative Mask is the ideal treatment for reviving and balancing your scalp, followed with the soothing benefits of our Night Serum or our Facial Oil. Mask (with more water mixed in for easier application) for 10-20 minutes, rinse out, then apply the oils for an overnight treatment or use sparingly during the day.

What is the shelf life of your products? I notice some are shorter than others.

All Gatherwise products are made often in small batches and ship out quickly to ensure a longer shelf life. Our products are equipped with their Batch number and Expiration Date, found on a small sticker on the bottom of each bottle. Our products differ in ingredients, making the shelf life different with each individual product, around 6-24 months. We use natural ingredients which mean our products are pure but it also means they need to be used up and often! Don’t hold back, use them and enjoy!
